This project plans to train 5000 children across West Africa and we utilize fun and creative ways to introduce to children good conservation and recycling habits, also to educate them on innovative and creative activities towards lifetime environmental sustainability.
Raising an environmentally literate generation of problem solvers will help ensure that tomorrow's decision-makers are prepared for the challenges they will likely face. How many children understands what is meant by Nature, Global Warming, Pollution and the like. There is already too much of debate going on about being eco-friendly and caring for our environment but the question is, what are the practices that are put in place for the new generations and this project stands to bridge that gap.
Problem solving is the foundation of a young child's learning. It must be valued, promoted, provided for, and sustained in the early childhood classroom and evaluated as time goes on. Opportunities for problem solving occur in the everyday context of a child's life. By observing the children closely, we have come up with a program that can use the child's social, cognitive, movement, and emotional experiences to facilitate problem solving and promote strategies useful in the lifelong process .
