There are young ladies and gentlemen between the ages of 15-30 in the Eastern Region who could not get the opportunity to further their education after completing Junior High School and Senior High School due to lack of money. Their parents could not provide for their apprenticeship either. This project is to support the youth and people with disabilities to go through apprenticeship for three years. It would cater for their apprenticeship fees, feeding fee and needed equipment/tools.
There are youth and people with disability between the ages of 15-30 in the Eastern Region who could not get the opportunity to further their education due to lack of money. This at times leads to forcing the young ladies to sleep with some men for money, some young boys also engage in armed robbery to feed themselves, others also move from their parents to nearby cities to do menial jobs to earn a living and people with disabilities are forced to beg for money on the road side.
ANF will help the youth and people with disabilities to go through apprenticeship by paying for their apprenticeship fees, feeding fees and providing needed equipment/tools for the training. It will provide accommodation for those who may not get access to a training centre at their location. By providing these, it will help end teenage pregnancy, armed robbery, slavery, unemployment and promote artisans.
The project will train 50 youth and people with disability who wants to become artisans to enable them to cultivate self-reliance in the poorest communities in Eastern Region, Ghana, which will give employment to individuals and families to enable them realize their full potential in the community.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
