Alternative lifestyle for russian street children

Dear Friends,

Upsala-Circus has launched a new project to demonstrate the world the life of our young circus artists. Their values, their dreams, their fears - firsthand, direct speech, the code of their life defined by the kids themselves. From time to time we publish those interviews in our social network groups, and the whole collection of those interviews will be on our website. Now you can meet each of our artists and look at their life from a different perspective.

Anton, 12 years old. Has been in the Circus for 1.5 years.

My friends think I’m a dope. Why? I don’t know. Ask them. Whenever I do something wrong, they shake their heads and say “What a dope, we don’t know him.”

I’m proud of my ability to tell a funny story about anything, just mention any thing to me.

Once a miracle happened to me – I found myself in this Circus.

I have been on stage for five times in my life. Each time I’m excited and worried, and I’m afraid that I will fail.

I would like to tell my grandchildren that I have seen dollar cost 30 roubles. Because when I have children, it will be 150 or more, I think.

More than anything I like to teleport. Every day I teleport from school to my house, but nobody sees it. Have you ever had this feeling while walking on the street that somebody walked through you? Well, it was me.

I like to wear this ring, I bought it in Sweden. By myself.

Life is pain, everybody thinks that. We live just once. The possibilities we have to spend our life are numerous, just as many as there were people on Earth, and even 15 billion times more than that.

I hope that in 100 years people will learn to understand each other and will resolve conflicts without any wars.

At school I’m just bored.

I don’t like doing the same thing over and over again, I would like to try new things all the time. The lifetime isn’t enough to try everything.

The real freedom is when I’m only limited by the law and the etiquette.
