More than 2,000,000 Venezuelan people have migrated from their country in search of a new beginning for their families. Colombia, day by day receives and supports them in their transit to other territories where they seek new opportunities. La Guajira is one of the departments that welcomes them, but their conditions are limited and the communities cannot supply their basic needs. More than 3,000 children receive food only once a day.
We currently support the original communities of La Guajira, also 700 children, girls, adolescents, and families that arrive to this place due to the migratory crisis in Venezuela. Our challenge is to provide food and accompany the childhood that lives this reality in our Child friendly spaces.
SOS Children's Villages Colombia as an international organization that cares for children, girls and families that are at social risk and offers emergency care, will accompany children in La Guajira, providing food and nutritional supplements.
Aldeas Infantiles SOS Colombia, mitigara la tasa de mortalidad infantil a causa de la desnutricion y aportara al desarrollo de una mejor calidad de vida para la ninez en La Guajira.
