December Update

By Jana Freeman & Paul Adamson | Program Coordinators

Update on Health Camps: To date, we have provided three health camps for women and children. More than 120 children and 80 women have been served, receiving medical care and treatment during our camps.

Update on Roof: See the picture below... the rooftop for Ekalavyanagara's preschool, community center, and only community building in the area has completely collapsed. Luckily, no one was hurt when the bamboo poles and thatched roof fell. But now, more than ever, we need your help to reconstruct this roof and enable the children to go to school under a safe, stable roof.

Future directions/needs: In the next months, we will be providing HIV testing services for all pregnant women in the area. We hope to prevent all mother-to-child transmission of HIV in this community, integrating testing availability, increased awareness, and community health education.
