Dear AfricAid supporters,
Thank you for helping to give over 2000 students access to computer labs in Tanzania, as part of AfricAid's new leadership training program, the Kisa Project!
I am writing to share some exciting news with you, which demonstrates just how effective AfricAid's computer strategy is in Tanzania. In June, Kisa IT Manager Louis Gutierrez was a featured speaker at the eLearning Africa 2010 International Conference in Zambia, an event that brought together more than 1800 education professionals from 78 countries all over the world, discussing how Kisa and AfricAid have used new and innovative technology to bring computers to Tanzanian classrooms. Louis is the creator of the KisaProject.org website that connects Kisa Scholars and their Sponsors, and the designer of the Kisa computer labs that are now serving thousands of students in Kisa partner schools.
Please take 3 minutes to watch the short video that was featured at the opening of the eLearning conference, here: http://kisaproject.org/kisa-e-learning-africa-2010. The majority of the footage was taken from our partner computer labs in Tanzania!
Thank you so much for continuing to provide vital computer access to thousands of students in Tanzania -- something that can fundamentally change their educational and professional careers, and open up doors where there was previously no opportunity!
With much appreciation, Ashley Shuyler Founder and Executive Director AfricAid
