The First Beehives Arrived to Montes de Maria Colombia after so much stress during COVID-19!

Mara and Ofir Placing first Beehives upon arrival!
It was almost mission impossible due to all of the restrictions COVID-19 had placed on transportation and travels. Mara had been almost a week now with no energy nor any way of communicating.
Despite all of the obstacles, a truck finally arrived with the first beehives for Mara and Ofir. They were both full of expectation and joy. It was 9 am as they waited and anticipated the arrival. Both Mara (22 yrs old) and Ofir (25 yrs old) were hoping that it would not rain as it would be difficult if not impossible for the truck to arrive. As time went by the raindrops and clouds started to cover the sky. They went away to cover themselves as it rained hesitant and fearful now. Thankfully the truck finally arrived with the first beehives and some equipment to begin honey produce, sometime this or next year.
Mara was sitting under a tree reflecting on how gratifying this whole thing had been since she first began leading and thinking this project, and a spark of hope filled her to see her community transformed. Ofir a 25 year old young men would not take away his eyes from the road even as it rained until the truck arrived! Finally as the truck arrived they were both calculating and seeing how the truck would enter their terrain as it was in rough conditions. In the end all was possible including the setup of their frist hives!
It is thanks to arrival of these first 12 beehives that 12 million bees will arrive to pollinate our planet and that Mara and Ofir are now aiming at receiving their first minimum wage each. As Planeta Rural Foundation we're still working so that 120 million bees pollinate our planet and 10 rural youths in Montes de Maria play their part in The Honeybees League to overcome poverty.
