Having received our first donation of $25, towards the goal of mentoring para-veterinarians and driving access to veterinary care in empoverished areas, and in honour of our anonymous donor, we have completed the sterilisation of 2 dogs. Concurrently the trust relationship with the sterilised dog's owners has begun, and these relationships, our constant presence in our opertional areas and daily monitoring remain the core reasons for the success we achieve.
In the month of May SAID was able to deliver 250 sterilisations, educate 6000 community members, train and mentor 3 graduate para-veterinarian candidates and employ the services of 1 Kennel assistant, drawn from our empoverished operational area of Tembisa.
Investment in our project provides SAID with the power to impact indigent communities and their animals, bridge the divide of the education gap resulting from our sad history, address the spiralling unemployement rate and bring lasting value to poor communities through our professional care of animals.
Help us change the world one animal, one person and one job at a time.
