The Accelerate Women now campaign has helped two women entrepreneurs from Latin America attend Impact Investing in Action, a conference that was held at Georgetown University to help impact companies raise capital for their businesses. The conference brought together the brightest thought leaders and practitioners in government, investment, social enterprise, impact entrepreneurship and universities- all coming together to help strengthen the impact movement. Two phenomenal women entrepreneurs, Xochitl Palacios and Gabriel Flores, participated in a panel featured at the conference titled 'Building the Ecosystem to Support Women Entrepreneurs in Latin America.'
Around the world, women entrepreneurs face a myriad of social, economic and cultural challenges that inhibit them from launching new ventures and building them into thriving enterprises. Latin America is no different. The panel analyzed the current ecosystem, its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for collective engagement and partnerships to more effectively unleash a new generation of successful female entrepreneurs in Latin America.
