Hello to all dear donors,
In this opportunity, I am writing to get you in touch with the project you have supported, informing you, how well we are doing thanks to your generosity.
On the beginning of the project, we delivered some especial tools to the population of Los Medios Village, so they could improve the way they produce Panela, as you may see in previous reports. Well, I am glad to tell you all, that in June, our professionals went to Los Medios again, but this time, to work with the representatives of the population, strengthening the relationship between them, besides developing and giving them real responsibilities to keep improving the economic and social status of the Village.
Let me report you about the first workshop we could give to the people, thanks to you.
According to the educational level of the participants, the workshop was participatory, starting from experiences they have lived. Simple dynamics were prioritized, leading to reflections and conclusions on the different topics that were strengthened
During the workshop, our professionals worked with the group the concept of Respect, showing them that there are no silly questions, therefore every doubt that exists has to be asked and solved, and everyone may participate. Another concept worked was Honesty an the importance to meet commitments no matter what. Finally, this session was useful to recall and reaffirm them the achievements they have reached being a community, and the importance to remain together and work as a team to keep improving.
The participants were explicitly happy with this workshop, here is what Doña Rosa said about it: "Everything was very good, we learned a lot. Now I will hear always what other's got to say, also we have to understand to each other and work together, to make the best of our Village. And Finally, as leaders, we have to walk together through this path".
Once again, as the project leader, I have no words to express my grateful with all of you, because you have made this possible, as you may see we are changing lives, and I encourage you to help me spread the word about this challenging and noble cause, so we keep helping people from Antioquia-Colombia to start over after the war.
