MIN WE is is enrolled at Rangsit University north of Bangkok studying a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics, ( 2012 – 2015). Here’s her account of the last semester:
“This semester, my first class was Man and Environment subject. In this class, I learnt about the interaction of human beings and the environment in daily life. The class provided us with a theoretical and practical approach. We went on a field trip to visit a Buffalo village. At the village, I learnt about traditional farming and the role of buffaloes on a farm. I also was assigned to do a research paper (by team work) which focused on farming and harvesting.
As a PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) student, Introduction to Statistic is a compulsory subject and of course it’s one of my favourite subjects. I like mathematics. I like calculating. Therefore, I found this subject very interesting and the lectures were also clear and easy to understand. Another subject I took in my first semester was Information Technology and its Application. This subject was one of the best subjects this semester. This subject was an introduction to information technology and it was very useful and interesting because everything that was taught in this class was new to me. I got to know about the components of computer system and software. I learnt about Internet and World Wide Web, and the basic of web design. As I’m using computer and internet everyday, this class is very important because I can now deal with my computer when something goes wrong and I also know more how to search for reliable sources on internet.
Beside my study, I joined the activities provided by Rangsit University. I participated in almost every activity; in the sport competitions I was one of badminton players but unfortunately we lost our energy so that we lost the competition. I enjoyed especially ASEAN Youth Camp. This camp was aimed to build relationship between ASEAN nationalities in order to build peace and raise awareness about environmental conservation. This activity was organized by Thammasat University and the participants were selected from the universities in Bangkok. I was one of the representatives from Rangsit International College.
To conclude, I enjoyed every class I took and every activity I participated. Moreover, for my grades I got 3 As, 1 B+ and 1 B. During my free time, I visited friends who study in different universities in Bangkok in order to keep in touch. I also do some exercises. I go jogging and play badminton and table tennis.”
