Rebuilding communities affected by 8.2 earthquake
People from K’aquementel`s community located in Chiapa`s jungle in México, are self producing the first bajareque ceren building for the Agroecology and Agroforestry Training Center. The whole community has been involved in the design, planning, organization, and construction of this training center while strengthening their social ties and using local materials that reduce environmental impact and make the construction affordable. This photo was taken by our Chiapas project coordinator Cuauhtli Ruiz when people were preparing the soil ready to cover the walls.
