Elephants responses to the resumption of hunting
Elephants responses to the resumption of hunting
A male elephant in the Boteti riverine forest inspecting his observers. Unlike humans, who rely on sight as their primary sense, an elephant' eyesight is not great, they rely more on sound and smell to gather information about their surroundings, their associations and any threats in their environment. It is wise to remember this when in their presence and also when trying to outsmart them to protect crops or communicate to them as to where to avoid and where may be safer for them.
