GlobalGiving and Benevity work together to determine your eligibility for the Apple Matching Gifts Program. Here is how it works:

Step 1 | Complete GlobalGiving’s due diligence application

You are encouraged to submit GlobalGiving’s due diligence application within 21 days of receiving an invitation. The application requires submission of a number of critical documents, including:

  • Certificate of government registration
  • Founding document with dissolution clause
  • Program materials (e.g., annual report, brochure, newsletter)
  • Names of senior staff and board members
  • Two years of financial statements and a projected annual budget

In addition, you must provide disbursement (banking) information and sign GlobalGiving’s terms and conditions.

Step 2 | Complete Apple’s self-certification with Benevity

You will be asked to complete the Apple self-certification for eligibility on Benevity’s Charity Portal.

Step 3 | Post a project to GlobalGiving

If your application and self-certification are approved you will then post a project reflecting one of your programs on the GlobalGiving website. This information will then be made available to Apple employees through Benevity.

Step 4 | Access Apple’s Matching Gifts Program and remain an active GlobalGiving partner

Donations by employees will be made on the Benevity Charity Portal and then disbursed (with Apple matching funds if applicable) by GlobalGiving on a monthly basis. Disbursement information will be available to the organization via To remain an active GlobalGiving partner, organizations are required to report on their projects quarterly and renew their application every two years.

Our team is here to help every step of the way. If you have questions, you can email us at or call us at +1 (202) 330-4041. The Apple Matching Gifts Program is managed by Benevity, so questions about Apple's giving policies or matching donations can be directed to Benevity at
