The Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) is currently working with the Arab American Association of New York (AAANY) to expand our award-winning Teen Grantmaking Initiative (TGI) to New York. AAANY will serve as the host institution for TGI-NY. CAAP staff have already visited New York to train adult advisors for the new youth philanthropy program. Coincidentally, TGI-NY will be the first ever youth philanthropy program in the state of New York.
AAANY's youth have already been fundraising for the TGI program by hosting the second annual. Arab Americans Got Talent competition. Proceeds from this event will go towards TGI-NY's grantmaking funds.
We are so excited to expand this program to New York, and we look forward to opening many other chapters around the country! Thank you for your support!
