This project will support women and girls across Ukraine and Moldova who experience poverty, single mothers & children in crisis. It will give access to free childcare and legal advice - counselling, food, medicine, clothes, free to use rehabilitation service for disabled children and free education for their mothers. Fund after school clubs that promote equality by treating all children with the same level of respect, care & support irrespective of their gender, faith and circumstances.
Alcoholism, poverty, disability are some reasons mothers are forced to raise their children on their own. There are cases of abuse & violence. Women who cannot work because they cannot afford childcare. Cases of child abandonment due to poverty. Old conceptions about the role of girls in society still present in small communities. Many girls leaving orphanages on their 16th birthday ending up working in the sex trade as they simply cannot afford any other roof over their heads.
Provide free childcare by funding free to use after school clubs. Free legal advice, education & counselling for mothers. Supporting emergency appeals with food, medicine and clothes. Teenage orphans live in a safe and secure dormitory within the local state. Social workers live with the young people offering them educational, emotional & spiritual support. Promote gender equality in our projects and work with networks like YPeer(UN) that promotes gender equality and empower youth.
This project will enable mothers to work allowing them to overcome extreme poverty. Empower women to stand up for themselves, help young women leaving orphanage to study and learn, promote independence, values and respect. Prevent child abandonment because mothers will receive the support needed to raise their children. This project will empower women and girls and plant the seeds for a better future.
