Sarah is an oyster mushroom grower in Uganda, the mushroom is rich in vitamins and there fore liked by many, she sells mushrooms to the local markets, her mushroom is desired by the middle class but she can't afford the modern solar dryer and packaging material as a requirement for her to supply the supermarkets to meet needs of the middle class. If Sarah starts using them then she is most likely to enjoy the monopoly in town.
Sarah grows mushrooms in her backyard garden in a wooden house, she harvests much yield though, but needs a boost in order to increase her sales to reach middle class standard, she needs a solar dryer and packaging materials that can be used to package for supermarkets. Once this is done, Sarah's business will be self sustaining.
She will purchase a modern solar dryer, will be able to train to make her own spawn and thus leading to self sustainability. Many villagers will be able to learn from her hence increasing on the financial ability of the whole village as Sarah alone cannot meet the market demand of mushrooms in town.
She will enjoy the monopoly in the market there fore enabling her pay school fees for her kids and take care of the family.. The whole village will have a model farmer Sarah with whom they can freely access mushroom information.
