This micro-project will change the life of an orphan girl by providing her education in a good Junior College in Hyderabad. It will give her a golden opportunity to pursue the career of her dreams. The girl wants to be a social worker after completion of her studies.
This project solves the problem of poverty and ignorance for a girl child. The girl lost her father last year. Without education, the girl child would be married off by her relatives, would remain unemployed or unskilled labor all her life. Education will ensure that the girl does not become mother at a very early age and face serious health and social/economic issues throughout her life. The project makes sure that the girl pursue a life of her dreams without fear of ignorance or poverty.
By providing education at Intermediate level, along with counseling, providing education material support, computer, library access, shoes, test papers, required material to study well, the project makes it possible for the girl to pursue Undergraduate course in Sciences or Arts and look forward to a good job or higher studies. Her success story can inspire more girls to think big.
The project will provide education to 250 first generation school going girls and help them attain high school education at the least. Beneficiaries who complete school to secondary level are supported with higher education, training, apprenticeships and/or employment. About 150 families (750 people) will be direct and indirect beneficiaries of this initiative.
