Thank you so much for your support for Deepthi - a Gond child. She has been a wonderful child for Sphoorti and has made a lot of friends within a few months.
Through this campaign, we have raised $100. With support from other sources, we raised more than $230.
This amount will take care of her expenses for this academic year. So far, we have spent $200 on her expenses like food, clothing and personal care. She has been given new clothes on Diwali and will be given again on Sankranthi/Ugadi.
She has been showing promise in studies lately. She is in Mandal Primary School in Srirangavaram. She has been scoring well in Math and English. She is also interested in activities like Music and Dance. We hope she builds this passion as she grows older.
Deepthi is very athletic too, she plays Kho Kho and loves skipping.
Deepthi comes from highly impoverished Gond community and understands to some extent the opportunity she has at Sphoorti. With your support, we are sure she will make all of us proud in future.
