The importance of online access to education is something that cannot be over looked, now more than ever after COVID. This project will help start the process of adapting our Community Assistance Program - where we provide vital capacity building training to community organizations - to an online platform. This will allow our current partners, and new partners, to access our trainings on-demand, and as often as needed, helping them get the support they need to serve their missions
There are currently 108 operating non profit organization's in the province of Azuay according to the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) and the Directory of Enterprises of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) yet there is no online platform for them to access the vital educational resources they need to support their missions. This project will affect not only the nonprofits but the thousands of low income children and families that rely on these non-profits.
By taking the first of its kind Community Assistance Program, which provides educational resources around critical topics such as strategic planning, fundraising and project planning online, understaffed organization's who struggle to participate in live trainings during their busy days, will be able to access critical trainings and replays on demand according to their schedules.
The long term impact of this project is vast. Starting with our local known network of non profits and the thousands of families they serve, our plan is to amplify the reach to the whole of Ecuador where there are currently 1446 non profits operating- ultimately effecting the tens of thousands of people these organization's support.
