Each summer Living Dreams along with NPO Mirai no Mori create unique life changing summer camps for abused, neglected, abandoned and orphaned children living in institutional care homes around Japan. Through our camps we seek to empower and enable children to build more self-confidence in themselves.
At summer camp children get to immerse themselves both in the latest digital technology and get to nature. By providing unique environments for children to engage with and mentors to help encourage the children to connect with others, Living Dreams and Mirai no Mori help to empower and enable children to think about what is possible in their lives.
At summer camp children are given many opportunities to challenge and push through their fears, enabling them to become more courageous and brave, connect with their care givers in new exciting ways, create new friendships with other children and with the mentors at camp.
The summer camps that Living Dreams and Mirai no Mori put on each year are meant to build upon the previous years. We want to see every child back at camp each year and help them to fully realize their potential. By having a long-term approach towards our camps we are able to build lasting relationships with children and the institutional care homes and see amazing results from our efforts.
