With the donations we received on this project we were able to provide 4 emergency response bags to Americans sexually assaulted in Madrid through our SAART (Sexual Assault Advocacy Response Team.)
Each bag contains water, sugary and savory snacks, information on sexual assault services in Madrid and lists of resources. The SAART team member responds to a sexual assault with the bag to help the victim as soon as possible to assist them through the emotional, medical, law enforcement and other aspects of their victimization.
Our SAART in Madrid is fully up and running. We are so grateful for the donors who have made this unique, and desperately needed, program possible for Americans traveling, living and studying abroad in Madrid.
Thank you so much! The SASHAA Team
