We need to improve the infrastructure of a big part of our Temporary Home for Vulnerable Girls. This building problem is affecting the general operation of the place and needs to be solved as soon as posible. This Home receives vulnerable girls from ages 6 to 12, who have been legally removed from their homes and families by social services in order to protect their rights as children, after have suffering from domestic violence, sexual abuse, forced labor or unsafe living conditions.
We have a big infrastructure problem in our Temporary Home for Vulnerable Girls. Due principally to climate factors, part of the roofs were seriously damaged and are affecting part of the operation of the project. Girls who live at the home have grown up in precarious, insecure environments. They often arrive without any identity papers and after suffering severe physical and psychological damage. Lacking their rights as children to identity and security, these girls need a home like Pewmafemal
Reparing the roofs at Pewmafemalen will basically guarantee a better place for living for the girls, enabling more rooms in good conditions, and more recreation spaces for girls. With your help, more than 50 girls will continue to receive psychological and medical assistance in a good place, in an effort to help them recover emotionally and physically from prior abuses.
Coming to Pewmafemalen is a life-changing experience for these girls as they seek recovery. Our programs offer the support and tools necessary to recover and start a new life free of previous abuses. The primary goal of Pewmafemalen is to ensure the girls are placed in a secure family so that the previous issues do not reoccur. In 2013, Mensajeros de la Paz successfully placed 98% of the girls from Pewmafemalen with a new family.
