Thank you again for your donation, which has allowed one girl the chance to attend school. The scholarships have now been awarded. The girl who received this scholarship is 8 years old and is attending a private school in Herat Province. Her father has a low paying job and without this scholarship there would be no way for her family to afford to send her to school.
The person who awarded the scholarships to the girls reports, “The students who were given the scholarships come from poor families. Many of them have lost their parents and they need to work part time to help support their families. When they received the scholarship, they were so happy that their eyes got wet with tears. It was incredible for them.”
One of the girls who received a scholarship said, “ I am so thankful for this scholarship. This opportunity will change my life. I am going to help my family and my community.”
Thank you again for your generous donation; your donation has helped to change the course of this girl’s life forever.
Thank you so much for your generous donations. This scholarship has now been fully funded, and the staff has selected the girl who will receive the scholarship. This scholarship has been given to a girl who is attending a private school in either Herat or Kabul and will pay for her uniform, books, supplies and tuition. Without this scholarship, she would not have access to the high quality education, which she will now receive. Your donation has helped to change the course of one girl’s life, by making her dream of attending school a reality.
Once we have more information from our Afghan partners about the girl who was awarded the scholarship, we will pass along as much information as we are able to. Again, thank you so much for your donations – they truly do make a difference!
