Getting victims from danger to safety often means battered mothers flee without much more than the clothes on their backs. They often don't even have enough diapers or formula with them for more than a day.
Fleeing mothers with children often don't have the means to buy even basic necessities. Diapers and formula are critical.
With this project 10 mothers will be provided with $50 of diapers and formula as they are escaping violence.
Each year we provide battered American women and children with information and services necessary to enable them to live their lives without violence. Since 2001 we have helped over 3000 women plus their children free themselves from abuse.
Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive. This means that your donation may be used as a part of the main project that supports this microproject, specifically Danger-to-Safety Relocation for DV Survivors. In this event, the project leader is required to post an update to the microproject detailing the results and reasons behind this change.
If you or any other donor is unhappy with the way their funds have been used, he or she can reallocate their donation using the GlobalGiving guarantee.
