Maribel suffered so much abuse from her Military husband in Germany. We were finally able to help Maribel escape and come home. She needs more counseling support to be able to recover from the long term abuse.
American military spouses often have a very difficult time escaping their powerful abusers. Long term abuse is very damaging causing anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem and physical illness including autoimmune diseases. With this project we will be able to pay 10 - $30 copays for Maribel's counseling.
Maribel will receive 10 counseling sessions to help her overcome the effects of long term domestic violence.
Victims of family violence within the military will begin to heal both physically and psychologically due to AODVC's holistic approach to safety planning and case management.
