Please Help Foster Vivi

A microproject by Pathways to Safety International
Please Help Foster Vivi

Summary

Anna is planning to flee her abuser in Mexico. We are currently safety planning and Anna hopes to escape soon. We have shelter arranged for her when she returns but the shelter cannot take Vivi, Anna's pet dog. We have found a foster home that is willing to take Vivi for six weeks while Anna finds a job and gets back on her feet. This project will shelter Vivi for six weeks and provide a safe home and food.

Challenge

Anna desperately needs to escape abuse in Mexico. When she gets back to the USA she will be living in shelter. She needs to put Vivi, her pet dog, into foster care. This project will enable us to do just that.

Solution

Vivi will have a safe home to live for six weeks while Anna finds work and gets an apartment for her and Vivi to live in.

Long-Term Impact

We will provide services to 150 American victims with pets in approximately 50 countries while they are fleeing violence. Our goal is to have all of them reach safety with their pets and live their lives without violence in their homes.
