ROSI is giving food and medicine provisions to 60 neglected and orphan elder women, whose age is above 60 years that is reducing starvation and health issues. Although they are active and able to cook foods themselves, they are unable to earn and upkeep due to age. When they are under sick, neighbors support for cooking and feed them. Relation and community are neglecting but now they getting the provision and living with dignity. No more starvation and hunger based health issues are exist there
They can't work in cultivation field and other work and earn due to their age. The aged women are in Vedaranyam block, Palani block and Annavasal block and we have identified them. They are neglected from own families. Few of them are not having families. So food is not provided to them and starvation is existing among them. Now we monthly are providing food package including groceries and vegetables.
Through this project, we are giving groceries and pulses monthly once to 60 aged women, who are neglected either by children and relations. Rice, Dhal, Cooking Oil, Bathing Soaps, Detergent Soaps, Species, Vegetables, etc are provided. So the neglected aged women will get food regularly by cooking themselves. They are become as self dependent. They can live with dignity and being without hunger.
ROSI will stop hunger and isolation among destitute aged people in Nagapattinam, Pudukkottai & Dindigul district Districts of Tamil Nadu. The 70 elder women also getting nutrias and medicine with health counseling periodically/ monthly. They are adding their age in the life span. They are treated with dignity by other in the society
