Chandan ( not his real name) was born in Jail. In a tragic case his mother is serving a life sentence for murdering his father. For the first six and a half years of his life he had never seen the outside world until the child welfare committee stepped in and set him free to live at Rescue Junction. Chandan needs a lot of help, he has no relative to care for him full time, and is receiving full time education We need funds for two things, to establish a savings fund for him and educational help.
This is a humanitarian appeal for Chandan and every cent collected will be used either for his education or for a savings account for his future. He really needs a helping hand . Rescue Junction staff are giving him lots of support and love, and he still visits his mother of course. He needs school uniforms, books etc, and extra remedial help with his education. Rescue Junction is providing protection and care.
This appeal has the potential to really help Chandan both now and in the future. it can provide at least some security for him financially whilst helping to provide the extra help he needs so much. He is receiving regular counselling. He needs a lot of adjustment after the start he has had in his life, a lot of love and care.
It is the aim of the trust to engage with the police, railway authorities, the judicial system and local government in helping to provide a child safety network in the district. This has the potential to help thousands of kids.
