Ebenezer is an exceptional young man with great determination, who is willing to work hard to achieve his goals. He cares for elderly parents and is very poor. Ebenezer wants to be admitted to study Marketing at KNUST (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science), in Kumasi, which is a 4 year program. However, tuition fees alone are extremely expensive, not to mention the general cost of living. His parents are unable to pay the high tuition fees so his dreams are shattered without help.

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Ebenezer lives in a community where competition for University places is extremely tough, now that the school system has changed and both Junior High School year 3 and 4 students are demanding places and the the Universities will only accept a small number because they are limited. Therefore, Ebenezer must have the tuition fee and living expenses so that his application will be accepted. He is very committed and hardworking and deserves to go to University.

How will this project solve this problem?

When Ebenezer finished Junior High School, a friend introduced him to PAAJAF and with your generous donations and support we helped him attend Senior High School, pay tuition fees, provide books, uniform and food for his well-being. Fees and lodging are expensive and this will give him a good education to support himself. Ebenezer is determined to continue his studies! He is hopeful that support will come to enable him to pursue his Marketing study so that he can secure a better paid job.

Potential Long Term Impact

Without your support he will have to find a low paid job, as he is not yet qualified to be a professional accountant. In addition, he needs to care for his aging parents, who are both unemployed and a lack of any help means his educational goals face danger. He must complete all the housework sweeping, fetching water and washing clothes. Please give him a chance pursue his goal of going to the University.
