It has been a long road. While the funds we needed to bring Katie and her mom home were not all raised under this Global Giving project, we were able to raise the other funds through another source. Thank you for your contribution!
Katie and her mom arrived back home from Germany last month. They are doing well, settling back into life in the USA and living with family. The transition has been a challenge for Katie as she does not like change. There are two kittens in the family home that Katie is very attached to and they are helping her adjust.
Katie misses her daddy and is still confused why he is so "mean". She begins counseling next week and her mom is looking for an appropriate school for Katie in the Fall.
