This project will create an efficient, adequate workspace for our beneficiaries. Our trainees currently must sit on the floor as they meet and work. A large table and eight chairs, to be used for training and meetings will provide them with a more comfortable area to learn their trade. Supplies such as paper cutters, varnish, and paper are also needed to continue to train more women.
Currently, our beneficiaries must complete all of their classes and training while seated on the floor. With your help, we have provided a safe space, but we are still lacking even the basics of furniture. In addition, our first class of trainees is now employed by us, producing beautiful jewelry but it's time to train a new class of deserving women. Supplies are needed!
The Ribe Project provides vocational training, family counseling, and fair wage employment for women in extremely vulnerable conditions. Providing a safe, comfortable, and efficient workspace demonstrates the value we see in them as women, building not only skills but also a sense of self-worth.
With 85% of Uganda's population under 15 years of age, the ripple effects of services provided to women by The Ribe Project, affect not only the women in the program but also the next generation of Ugandans by impacting the educational opportunities and support provided for their children.
