According to UNICEF, girls continue to suffer severe disadvantage and exclusion in education systems throughout their lives. An estimated 31 million girls of primary school age and 32 million girls of lower secondary school age were out of school in 2013. Gender disparities increased in secondary and tertiary education. The majority of these girls live in sub-Saharan Africa. This project will help ensure that Christiana continues her schooling by providing her with a full scholarship.
Families with limited funds to educate their children focus on sending their boys to school, and many girls who start school drop out because their parents cannot afford to continue to pay for their education. Christiana frequently comes first in her class. She is a brilliant person, an eloquent speaker and has won many quiz and debating competitions. This project will provide a full scholarship for Christiana covering her tuition, books, school supplies and related school expenses.
Funds from this project will help Christiana continue her education and eventually become a Certified Accountant - her desired future profession. Your support will help provide all she needs to be successful in school and ensure that she completes her education.
Healthy, well educated and emancipated women are an excellent foundation for a new and free society.
