Every year Pathways works to keep child abuse victims and their pets together when escaping violence and fleeing home with their mothers back to the USA. Most of the time a precious pet is one of the only things that brings comfort to a child who is being abused. We want to make sure no child has to leave their pet behind when escaping violence in 2020.
With this project we will be able to bring back up to 10 precious pets in 2020 to ensure child abuse victims and their pets stay together when fleeing violence and returning to the USA.
A child back home safely in the USA with their pet, in a safe home and with their mothers is critical for their long term recovery from enduring child abuse.
Pathways serves 500 women and children per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
