Janet is 63 years old, she takes care of 08 grand children in a village, a Hospital Xray shows she needs a total knee replacement she has been growing crops for home consumption and for sale for the little kids to feed and go to school. An orthopedist requires $4000 for an operation, replacement and other related treatments, if this is not done, Janet will turn lame, will be helpless and will be a burden to the community.
Grandma Janet can no longer walk neither do any other work since she needs to be carried out and in, to the latrine and back in the house, a life that she has not been used to, her life is at stake as she is worried of the kids and her life. A care taker who has been taking care of her in the last 30 days is leaving, Janet is left with 08 kids she was taking care of, if kids are taken away, Janet will be lonely and helpless.
This micro project will pick up Janet, take her to the orthopedic hospital and have the knee operated, Janet will return to normal again and will be able to do her work and take care of the kids once again.
Once Janet is treated, she wont need any other external hand in supporting the little kids and her self, she will continue growing food for them to consume and have some left for sale to take back kids to school and also buy other home necessities.
