Sophie is passionate about the art of baking,decorating and designing cakes,Sophie is a University graduate with bachelors in Food science and Technology in Uganda who started her business after school,Sophie's business is beginning to grow, Sophie is training 15 people in her village to make and bake with her, Sophie's home business lacks an oven to enable her bake many cakes, Sophie's project needs $1000 by close of December this year
Sophie receives orders from several people to make them party cakes but she ca not handle because of lack of an oven, Sophie can hire a local person to make her an oven which can handle a capacity of 30 big party cakes a day
With the availability of the oven, Sophie will be in position to employ 15 people to help in the mixing, designing and supplying to different destinations, Sophies cakes are on high demand, she has contacts of over 100 potential buyers all over Uganda
Sophie is a graduate of food science and technology, and also gained a short certificate in business management, business start up dynamics, financial management of business and overall business growth and development, these skills and expertise will enable Sophie to stay in business, she has the capacity to consistently provide high quality, fluffy and delicious cakes all year round
Every microproject is intended to use the donations it receives in accordance with its stated description; however, it is important to provide project leaders with the flexibility to maximize the potential benefit from the donations they receive.
