Volunteers are a crucial part of our monitoring program. Every year, from April to October, they come from different parts of México to contribute their time to protecting and conserving endangered sea turtles. Because we can't host many volunteers in our sea turtle camps, they come in small groups each month during the nesting season.
For a whole month, they devote themselves to sleepless nights, long working hours, and hundreds of mosquitoes to help sea turtles and admire the marvelous nature of nesting females and newborn hatchlings.
One way of showing gratitude for their hard work is helping cover their food expenses while away from home. Although we did not raise enough funds, we hope our donors will recognize the invaluable worth of all our volunteers.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
