The Rescue Center houses over 50 babies of diapering age in a communal setting. These babies are recovering from extreme malnutrition, starvation, and other medical challenges. This project will provide diapers towards our goal of providing 100% diaper coverage (diapers 24 hours a day) to these precious babies. Every baby deserves a clean diaper, and your support will make this happen!
All babies deserve clean diapers. The Rescue Center at Real Hope for Haiti struggles to afford diapers for the 50 children in inpatient care. This project will provide diapers which not only provides an increase in comfort but improvement in basic health and sanitation for both baby and nanny.
Diapers will improve sanitation, hygiene and health through containment of feces. That's not all. Imagine the impact on for the nannies! No more wet laps. No more cleaning up feces off the floor. Less laundry! (less sheets to wash!).
As our partner organizations in Haiti continue to have their diaper needs solved, they are able to save funds and plan for future improvements in their care. This can mean adding educational programs, offering better healthcare, improved quality of food (more protein!) - all steps that set these babies up for long term survival and productive members of society.
