Canada to Lebanon Partnership for Girls Leadership

We are so privileged to have the support of amazing partners including teachers in our community who go beyond the call of duty to ensure their students have all the resources they can. In support of community donors, people like yourselves, we can make a growing difference in the lives of young women.

Thanks to Lisa G, a teacher in Surrey, BC 20 young women in grade 6 & 7 have participated in the Canada to Lebanon project. Unfortunately, due to school strikes we had a challenging time kicking off our Canada to Lebanon leadership training with the group in Canada. We were also delayed in the process due to funding challenges.  However, our superstar teacher Lisa is ensuring that the girls are getting their training over the next few months. The girls did work hard as soon as they started school to have their community project ready for us to take to Lebanon. The girls in Surrey created a book called "A Day In Our Lives"; highlighting what their days were like in Canada. The girls in Lebanon were thrilled to learn more about the girls here at home and created two gifts to give back to the girls here! We can wait for them to see what they made.

We understand the challenges that schools face with a lack of funding and resources. We also understand how many families struggle to keep up with the growing demands and increased costs of living. That is why our team works hard to ensure that girls have all the internal resources they need to continue to grow and development and use your brilliance to create more opportunity for themselves moving foward in life.

The funds donated to this project through Global Giving were used for leadership books for the girls in Surrey. As the project continues we'll be posting the pictures on our website!
