Kadiatu's parents are petty traders with irregular income that is woefully inadequate - relative to family needs. The family situation has been worsened by rising prices triggered by rising fuel costs. They live in a zinc house with no water and no electricity. For them, the thought of back to school expeneses in unsettling and scary. This project will help ensure that Kadiatu continues her schooling by providing her with a scholarship, covering her school-related expenses.
Kadiatu's family desperately needs our help to get her through school. Families with limited funds to educate their children tend focus on sending their boys to school. Kadiatu could drop out of school if her parents are not able to cover her school-related costs. Together we can help ensure that she stays in school for the next academic year!
Funds from this project will cover Kadiatu's school-related costs so she can complete the next year of her education. These include miscellaneous school charges, books, school supplies, uniforms, lunch, and transportation.
Healthy, well-educated and emancipated women are an excellent foundation for a new and free society. Your support will help Kadiatu to finish another year of school - moving one step closer to, becoming independent and self-sufficient. In her chosen future career as a lawyer, she will also be contributing to national development.
