One person can make a difference. This month, let's change one life. It costs roughly $284 for a student to attend PIO School for an entire year. This includes the costs of instruction, textbooks and notebooks, daily school lunches, utilities critical to operation, and rice allotments to support their families. We can do this- you can help.
The children who attend PIO all come from poor families who cannot afford to send their children to public schools. While the cost of public school in Cambodia is free, if students cannot afford to pay for their uniforms, books, school supplies, and 'fees' charged by teachers, they are not able to attend. Many families move from the outside provinces looking for work or send their children to live with family members so that they can try to provide a better life for them.
This microproject will support one student's education for an entire year. As soon as we accomplish this goal, we will send a special report from PIO to thank you for your generosity. Let's support one child a month this year!
This project will help educate students at PIO, giving them the tools and confidence they need to continue learning and advancing to the next level. Whether they are starting on grade level or a couple years behind their peers, they will be able to have more opportunities to succeed- PIO prepares students to pass their national exams and enter high school and university or obtain jobs, all of which will help them to live up to their potential and better support their families.
