Thanks for giving Yuka a new classroom

On behalf of Yuka, thank you so much!
On behalf of Yuka, thank you so much!

Thanks so much for helping to provide a permanent classroom for kids including Yuka.

Yuka lives with her family in Nepal’s Sindhupalchok district, which was one of the worst affected by the 2015 earthquakes. Of the 36,000 classrooms destroyed by the 2015 earthquakes, 4,000 of them were in Sindhupalchok.

One of these classrooms was where Yuka used to learn every day. Yuka wants to be a pilot when she’s older, so she’s always worked really hard in school. But after the earthquakes she was forced to learn in a temporary classroom, which was uncomfortable and starting to fall apart.

As a result, Yuka’s studies were suffering, and her dream of becoming a pilot was under threat.

But now because of your generosity, Yuka and her classmates have been able to move out of their temporary classroom, and into a beautiful new permanent one. Although this microproject was not fully funded we were able to combine your donations with other sources of funding. And we’re happy to report that Yuka’s new classroom is now finished.

So your generosity is now allowing Yuka to learn the skills she needs to become a pilot when she’s older, and escape poverty for good.

We’ll send you updates about how your gift is changing the lives of Yuka and her classmates, right here on GlobalGiving. Should you ever have any questions about how we’re using your donation, please don’t hesitate to email Andy@IDVolunteers.org. We’d love to hear from you!

One last time, thanks so much for giving Yuka and her friends back their education.
