Hi Friend, <\/p>\n

My name is Yuliya Brodska, and I am GlobalGiving\u2019s Ukraine Grants and Partnership Consultant writing from Kyiv, Ukraine.<\/strong> I joined GlobalGiving\u2019s Disaster Response Team six months ago to work on the ground in response to the ongoing challenges of war in Ukraine. <\/p>\n

In the first days of full-scale war that I spent in the bomb shelter, besides the danger, I felt shock.<\/strong> And more than 12 million Ukrainian citizens have fled their homes and are experiencing daily uncertainty, stress, difficulty accessing basic necessities, and forgetting how it is to feel safe under a peaceful sky.
\n
\nBut little by little, \u201cbrick by brick,\u201d I and many Ukrainian partners have learned to adapt.<\/strong> Throughout these 12 months, our local nonprofit partners and I are sharing common challenges\u2014air raids, power and water outages, and more. But together, we learned that we must stay strong in spirit, support each other, value our close ones like never before, and learn how to become more resilient in response to crises and everyday life.<\/p>\n

On this 1-year anniversary of the Russian-Ukrainian war, I would like sincerely to thank you on behalf of the local communities and the ones in the neighboring countries for your continuous support and generous contributions<\/strong> that are helping people affected by the hostilities. <\/p>\n
