As the organization grew, the management team at Develop Africa<\/a> needed to ensure their staff wasn\u2019t overworked. They used the SWOT Analysis Worksheet<\/a> to examine their organization\u2019s strengths and weakness and to discover potential threats and opportunities for the future.<\/p>\n The SWOT analysis helped the Develop Africa team realize they had areas of work that needed their attention. They needed to hone in on their central goal. \u201cWe have so many small goals that sometimes there is too much going on,\u201d explained the Develop Africa team.<\/p>\n Focusing on less meant that the Develop Africa team could achieve more. The team was able to decide on a central goal that would help them achieve their mission. \u201cWe are taking our many small goals and focusing a main one\u2014education\u2014which will help us be more effective,\u201d shared the Develop Africa team.<\/p>\n The Develop Africa team now regularly uses the SWOT tool to assess the health of its programs. They explained it best:<\/p>\n \u201cA SWOT snapshot can lead to more informed decision making and direction.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Alix Halloran, who visited Develop Africa as a member of GlobalGiving\u2019s Field Team<\/a>, had this to say about their work: “Develop Africa’s projects are creating lasting change in the lives of so many children and young women.
