The July Bonus Day is designed to celebrate high-dollar donors and help GlobalGiving partners move smaller-dollar donors up to new giving heights. Accordingly, only donations of $100 USD and up will count on Bonus Day and, the higher the donation, the higher the match!
We encourage you to mobilize donors to give early because matching funds will likely run out before the end of the day. It is important to note that donations must be made by the donor. GlobalGiving will monitor and proactively disqualify donations assumed to be pre-collected or combined.
All Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations that are banked outside of India are eligible for this campaign. Organizations must submit an opt-in form to participate in this campaign no later than May 31, 2021.
GlobalGiving will include all active projects associated with organizations that meet the opt in deadline. For microprojects, check the expiration date as GlobalGiving cannot extend the 90-day time period.
GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day 2021 campaign will begin on July 14, 2021, at 09:00:00 EDT and will end when matching funds run out, or on July 14, 2021, at 23:59:59 EDT, whichever comes first.
Organizations must have submitted an opt-in form by May 31, 2021, at 23:59:59 EDT in order to participate in the campaign. Submissions are now closed.
For opted-in organizations, the deadline for submitting new projects, project edits, project reports, and project appeals to be approved in time for inclusion in the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign was July 7, 2021, at 17:00:00 EDT. For microprojects, check the expiration date as GlobalGiving cannot extend the 90-day time period.
Please allow for 2-3 business days for GlobalGiving to approve project reports, project appeals, and project edits related to the campaign. GlobalGiving cannot guarantee that late submissions will be reviewed in time for inclusion in the campaign.
Disbursement of funds raised and awarded in this campaign will be included in the usual monthly disbursement process.
The July Bonus Day 2021 campaign will have a Matching Fund of $400,000 USD.
While funds remain, the following matching structure will apply:
Donations will be matched based on the order in which they are received while funds last. Remaining funds will be displayed on the leaderboard throughout the campaign and updated every 3 minutes.
Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. We are monitoring these and other parameters in our system to ensure that only distinct donors are counted.
For the purposes of calculating matching amounts, donations made in other currencies will be converted to USD. The exchange rate will be estimated at the time of the donation, but may be subject to change until the donation settles with the donor’s bank or credit card. Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.
In your GlobalGiving donation manager, donations that count towards your total raised during the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign (based on the time the donation was made and the method of payment) will be marked with a plus sign.
GlobalGiving reserves the right to make final decisions on all matters concerning the allocation of the Matching Fund.
GlobalGiving’s 100% Monthly Match is also available to the GlobalGiving nonprofit community for all of 2021. New monthly donations set up during the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign will be eligible for both the immediate match outlined by these terms, and the one-time 100% match (up to $200) to be received after four monthly payments!
Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.
Any activity not in the spirit of requesting separate individuals to support donations is being moderated by GlobalGiving and GlobalGiving reserves the right to permanently disqualify organizations for any attempts of misconduct.
Donations made to a project using any of the following methods will count towards your total raised during the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign:

Donations received via any other methods will not count towards your total raised during the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign. Ineligible donation methods include, but are not limited to: corporate gift cards, physical checks, cash donations, wire transfers, CAF checks and CAF Online, donations made on a GlobalGiving corporate or organizational giving site, and donations made directly to an organization rather than a project
GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations, the nonprofit support fee is 5%; for organizations outside the US and UK, it is 7%. During the July Bonus Day 2021 campaign, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to bonus prizes or matching funds earned. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors.
