GlobalGiving Campaign

Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana

January 1 - March 31, 2023

Terms and Conditions

Organization & Project Eligibility

As a part of the DIY Grant Program, this campaign is only available to the one organization participating.

Dates & Deadlines

GlobalGiving’s Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign will begin on January 1, 2023, at 00:00:00 EST and will end when matching funds run out, or on March 31, 2023, at 23:59:59 EDT, whichever comes first.

Disbursement of funds raised and awarded in this campaign will be included in the usual monthly disbursement process.

Matching Funds

The Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign will have a Matching Fund of $10,000 USD.

During the Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign, all eligible donations up to $1,000 USD per unique donor per organization will be matched at 50% while funds remain.

Donations will be matched based on the order in which they are received while funds last. Remaining funds will be displayed on the leaderboard throughout the campaign and updated every 3 minutes.

Limitations

  • Donations above $1,000 USD will be matched on the first $1,000 USD while funds last. The match offer is restricted to donations made by unique donors per organization.

Verification

Unique donors are determined using numerous criteria, including name, email address, credit card number, mailing address, and IP address. We are monitoring these and other parameters in our system to ensure that only distinct donors are counted.

For the purposes of calculating matching amounts, donations made in other currencies will be converted to USD. The exchange rate will be estimated at the time of the donation, but may be subject to change until the donation settles with the donor’s bank or credit card. Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.

In your GlobalGiving donation manager, donations that count towards your total raised during the Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign (based on the time the donation was made and the method of payment) will be marked with a plus sign.

GlobalGiving reserves the right to make final decisions on all matters concerning the allocation of the Matching Fund.

Monthly Giving Match

GlobalGiving’s 100% Monthly Match is also available to the GlobalGiving nonprofit community for all of 2023. New monthly donations set up during the Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign will be eligible for both the immediate match outlined by these terms, and the one-time 100% match (up to $200) to be received after four monthly payments!

Donation Methods & Eligibility

Please note that all donations are final. GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of a donation after it is processed for any reason.

Any activity not in the spirit of requesting separate individuals to support donations is being moderated by GlobalGiving and GlobalGiving reserves the right to permanently disqualify organizations for any attempts of misconduct.

Tax Efficient Giving

Tax Efficiency

GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.

Fulfillment Fee

GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations, the nonprofit support fee is 5%; for organizations outside the US and UK, it is 7%. During the Investing in 100 teen moms in Ghana campaign, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to bonus prizes or matching funds earned. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors.
