As part of the December Global Open Challenge, on December 17, 2014 individual online donations up to $1,000 are matched at 15% through a matching grant of $5,000 offered by GlobalGiving. The organization that raises the most funds from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500 Bonus.
Also, the organization with the most unique donors from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500 Bonus from GlobalGiving.
Only donations of $25 or more will be matched on Bonus Day and count for the most funds raised and unique donor prizes

What is Bonus Day?
From 09:00:01 to 23:59:59 EST on December 10, 2014 the GlobalGiving Bonus Day offers a 15% match for unique, online donations at $25 or above made on www.globalgiving.org to projects participating in the December Global Open Challenge.
All online donations above $25 and up to $1,000 per (unique) individual donor per project made on www.globalgiving.org will be matched at 15% until the total matching grant of $5,000 is used up.
The organization that raises the most funds from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500 Bonus.
Also, the organization with the most unique donors from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500 Bonus from GlobalGiving.
Any donations made on co-branded sites with GlobalGiving corporate partners will not be eligible for matching funding.
The matching funds will not count towards to the $5,000 threshold for the Global Open Challenge.

Who’s Participating
The bonus day is open only to participants of the December 2014 Global Open Challenge.
Project Challenge participants are organizations registered as charitable and non-profit organizations in the US (501(c)3 organizations) or internationally, working in local communities, who have expressed interest in posting their projects on GlobalGiving's site. All Project Leaders must complete a rigorous application process to qualify for the Open Challenge.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- On December 17, 2014 from 09:00:01 hrs to 23:59:59 hrs, $5,000 of matching funds will be released. Any online, unique donation (above $25 and up to $1,000 per individual donor per project) to a project participating in the December 2014 Global Open Challenge will be matched at 15% while matching funds remain.
- Once the $5,000 in matching funds has been allocated, no more donations will be matched.
- Donations will be matched based on the order in which they are received.
- Only donations of $25 or more, up to $1,000 per donor per project, will be matched
- Donations below $25 will be counted on the Main Leaderboard, but will not be reflected on the leaderboard below. These donations will count towards the $5,000 and 40 donor thresholds.
- The project with the most funds raised from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500.
- The project with the most unique donors from 09:00am EST on Bonus Day until 11:59 pm EST on Bonus day will receive an additional $500.
- Please note that GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the adjudication of unique donors and final results of the December 2014 Global Open Challenge
