Building your monthly donor base is incredibly useful for ongoing support! We know that now, more than ever, sustainable funding is crucial, so we created an opportunity for you to increase your monthly donors. December is also a month that represents a lot of generosity, so it is a perfect chance to request your donors to get even more involved.

All Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations are eligible and their active projects will be automatically included in the Monthly Donor Drive. Just note that new projects need to be submitted by Dec. 9 for approval and inclusion.

GlobalGiving offers a year-round 100% match on new monthly donors, and this will be our first time running a 200% week-long match for new monthly donors! Depending on the results, we may put more Monthly Donor Drives on the calendar.

Donations not made within the timeframe of the Monthly Donor Drive will not count towards the 200% match. All donations during the Monthly Donor Drive are final. Unfortunately, GlobalGiving cannot change the time, date, or status of the initial monthly donation after it is processed.

Since partners are not in competition for limited funds during this week and since there are no bonus prizes up for grabs, we decided to invest our tech team’s time in activities that better serve our community, like improving the checkout experience for all donors and expanding your options for how to thank donors. To monitor your progress this week, look at the monthly donor count on your project page!

You can tell if a donation counted towards the Donor Drive match by logging into your Dashboard and reviewing your Donations Manager. All matched donations will be indicated with a small plus sign.

New monthly donations started during the week of Dec. 14-18, 2020, must stay active through March to get the 200% match on the initial donation. This match will then be sent in your April disbursement. So, for example, if a donor starts a monthly donation of $20 on Dec. 15, the $20 monthly donation must continue through January, February, and March, and your organization will receive the 200% match, in this case equal to $40, in April. Please note, this offer is good on monthly donations up to $200 per month. Donation. Monthly donations above $200 per month will still receive the maximum $400 match to the project.
