The 2019 Climate Fund Campaign is an opportunity for Climate Change-themed projects on GlobalGiving to compete for $50,000 in prizes and win a year-long slot in the GlobalGiving Climate Fund.
The campaign runs from 09:00:00 ET on Monday, April 15, to 16:59:59 ET on Monday, April 29. On Earth Day, Monday, April 22, GlobalGiving will offer cash prizes (see separate set of Terms + Conditions).
Six projects will be selected for a year-long slot in GlobalGiving Climate Fund through this campaign. Winners will be determined by campaign results and panel selection:
Campaign Result Winners (2): Two projects with the most overall unique donors in the Climate Fund Campaign will win a year-long slot in the Fund. These two winners will join a panel to choose the additional four winners.
Panel Selected Winners (4): Projects that finish in the top 20 on the leaderboard in terms of unique donors will be invited to submit a short questionnaire by Friday, May 3, at 5:00pm ET. A panel of experts will review the submissions and select four additional winners.
In the event that there’s a tie for most unique donors, ranking will be determined by most funds raised during the campaign.

Tax Efficient Giving & Fulfillment Fee
Tax Efficiency: GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
Fulfillment Fee: GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee, plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations the nonprofit support fee is 5%. Organizations outside the US and UK will be charged a 7% nonprofit support fee. During the campaign, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to prize funds earned.
