Six projects will be selected for a year-long slot in GlobalGiving Climate Fund through this campaign. Winners will be determined by campaign results and panel selection:
Campaign Result Winners (2): Two projects with the most overall unique donors in the Climate Fund Campaign will win a year-long slot in the Fund. These two winners will join a panel to choose the additional four winners.
Panel Selected Winners (4): Projects that finish in the top 20 on the leaderboard in terms of unique donors will be invited to submit a short questionnaire by Friday, May 3, at 5:00pm ET. A panel of experts will review the submissions and select four additional winners.
In the event that there’s a tie for most unique donors, ranking will be determined by most funds raised during the campaign.
The important dates are as follows:
April 10 - Deadline to submit new projects with the ‘Climate Change’ theme for consideration and inclusion in the campaign
April 12 - All eligible projects will be added to leaderboard
April 15 - Crowdfunding campaign starts at 9:00am ET
April 29 - Climate Fund Campaign ends at 4:59pm ET

All active Climate Change-themed projects run by Partner, Leader, and Superstar organizations as of Friday, April 12, 2019, will be automatically included in the campaign. No opt in required.

GlobalGiving maintains final authority to determine project inclusion.

Funds will be disbursed using the exchange rate based on the settlement value of each transaction.
Disbursement of funds raised and awarded in this campaign will be included in the usual monthly disbursement process.
New Monthly Giving Match:
New monthly donations up to $200 per donor per project started during this campaign will get an additional 100% match on their initial donation as long as it remains active for a minimum of four payments.

Tax Efficient Giving & Fulfillment Fee
Tax Efficiency: GlobalGiving is a registered nonprofit charity in the United States and England and Wales. Donations made by eligible donors in the United States can be claimed as tax deductible contributions on United States tax returns. Donations made by eligible donors in the United Kingdom can claim Gift Aid (an extra 25% added to eligible donations by the UK Government) when they donate in GBP.
Fulfillment Fee: GlobalGiving charges a minimal nonprofit support fee, plus a 3% processing fee. For US and UK registered organizations the nonprofit support fee is 5%. Organizations outside the US and UK will be charged a 7% nonprofit support fee. During the campaign, the fee only applies to the initial donation and not to prize funds earned. The fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and projects, to provide you with fundraising training and tools, and to maintain and improve our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors.
