Following Hurricane Dorian's destruction, more than 85,000 people's lives in the Bahamas and in North Carolina are totally altered. Thousands of families have lost their homes as well as access to basic services and medical care. The official death toll in the Bahamas has risen to 50, but local media reports thousands of others are still missing, and many more are displaced and are in need of shelter.
Residents remaining on Abaco and Grand Bahama Islands as well as evacuees in Nassau and elsewhere are in desperate need of shelter, food, water, medicine, and other emergency resources that GlobalGiving's Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund will support. In addition, your donation will support long-term recovery as our nonprofit partners work to assist survivors in rebuilding their communities and livelihoods.
